Arne Jacobsen was a Danish architect and designer. He made many notable contributions to architectural Functionalism. He is also the man behind some of the most iconic chairs from the mid-20th century. Perhaps the most iconic is the Egg Chair - celebrating it’s 60th anniversary this year. Designed by Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Copenhagen Hotel, the Egg Chair offers comfort in a cocoon (or egg)-like form that is still a favorite today - as featured in the November 2018 issue of Architectural Digest.
